Gym training can change your life for the better. Once you have committed and joined, what then? You’ll be shown gadgets and machineries that will improve your body although you may not have a clue how to use them at first. Most often, people who are new to the gym training scene become discouraged when they realize how much exercise is involved.

However, before starting your training, there are still a few things you have to be aware of. Prior to any exercise, you must first get warmed up. It increases blood flow to your muscles, loosening them. Through this, injuries like cramps and muscle spasm will be deftly minimized if not completely avoided. A well executed warm-up allows the muscles to stretch, honing the body to prepare for the exercise. A warm-up that you can try includes jogging and stretching.

After warm-ups, heavy workout is next in your list. An ideal exercise routine should consist of aerobic, cardio and compound exercises. The combination will allow you to lose more weight compared to a strictly cardio or compound workout. It is important that you also pay attention to other body parts even if your ultimate goal is to get the six pack abs.

Since your overall aim is to become fit, then you should start estimating exactly how much time and effort you should spend in the gym. Initially, you should be heading to the gym at least three times per week. Bear in mind that you will have to stay in the gym for long periods each session to get the body and muscle that you want.

Go for 40 minutes and keep at your warm-up before hand. It is not necessary for you to stay longer each time although you might want to increase the intensity of your workout each time. This way, your health program won’t intrude with your working and social life.

The key here is quality over quantity and be prepared to work hard. You could work in the gym for 3 hours and not get as much as a high intensity 30 minute circuit could give you. Accept that for gym training to be a success, you have to give it as much dedication as you can. If you are going to lose weight fast and get ripped six pack abs, you have to have an assault plan everyday. There is no better way to achieve this than doing the compound exercise.
